SCRUBTEC BOOST 5 - added to the BOOST series of Scrubber-dryers

The midsize SCRUBTEC BOOST 5 is a smaller, and more maneuverable, version of the company’s existing BOOST 8 and BOOST R81 S models, and shares the same BOOST technology. This technology is one of the cleaning industry’s most important sources of ‘green’ benefits, offers significant savings in water and detergent consumption, extended pad life, longer battery run times, and reduced labour costs.

The orbital action of the pad/brush, which instead of being round is rectangular in shape, retains the cleaning solution within the brush deck and carries it the full length of the pad or brush. In conventional systems, the solution is slung away from the pad. The result is a saving of some 50% to 70% in both water and detergent consumption. Furthermore, the orbital action enables consistent brush/pad contact across the entire 510 mm cleaning path, thereby improving the cleaning result.

Using less water means that less pad/brush pressure is required, which in turn provides more efficient use of the motor andbattery pack. The savings in pad usage can be as high as 40%, and are the result of both lower pad pressure and, thanks to the high rpm orbital action, the fact that the dirt is attacked from multiple directions.
A patented pulse solution control system introduces the cleaning solution in front of the scrubbing pad/brush. This also provides for more economic and efficient use of detergent. Labour cost savings are estimated to be approximately 50%, and are achieved through greater productivity as a result of fewer emptying and refilling cycles. Also, the efficient cleaning action maintains the ‘life’ of the floor, thus reducing the need for stripping and re-burnishing.
